Nissan renames Tennessee Titans stadium

Nissan acquires naming rights to NFL stadium in Nashville, near Dickson, Tennessee

Next time you travel to Nashville from Dickson TN for a Titans football game, Nissan drivers will notice a change at the stadium.

Nissan won the naming rights for its hometown NFL stadium in Nashville, which serves as the home stadium of the Tennessee Titans, Tennessee State University football, the Music City Bowl, as well as concerts and other events.

Nissan, who employs over 10,000 people in the Nashville region, will also become the official automotive partner of the Titans, and will repaint the stadium in the automaker's bright-red brand color.

Nissan, whose North American headquarters are in Nashville, will soon introduce a redesigned version of its Titan full-size pickup truck, which shares a name with Nissan Stadium's main tenant.

"That's quite a cool coincidence for us," said Fred Diaz, Nissan's senior vice president for U.S. sales & marketing and operations. "But this is really a way to showcase Nissan's presence and involvement here in the heartland of the United States. This is going to make our employees and customers here very proud."
